testing this function! it works.... enough. not sure how long i'll service this, if i even keep it for much longer. i've come to an acceptance regarding my usage of microblogging spaces, with a realization that best practices usually require the removal of interaction with wider community as to avoid the pitfalls i will discuss at a later time. but it's here!
